Seriously, YouTube must be one of the most addictive websites on the internet! You just can not resist the temptation on clicking on the next video on the sidebar and, before you know it, it's 2 in the morning and you're late for bed xD. Anyway, since we can't do anything about that (obviously), why not make good use of our time and learn something new? Here is a collection of YouTube videos that will help you learn and review grammar.
Parts of Speech
Common Prepositions
Past Continuous Tense
A very useful lesson on pronouns
Don't hesitate to subscribe to those channels and watch as many videos as you can!
I honestly do not know what makes must of students think that they have to lock themselves up in a room and burry themselves in books for long nights of exhaustion and frustration in order to learn something. This is completely false!
Learning can be fun. Actually, learning IS fun. You just have to find the way that is most effective for you and which you can easily include in your daily routine. It can be as simple as listening to the radio on your way to work/university, or reading this paragraph for example (did you learn any new words?)
Anyway, here's a more tangible example if you love listening to good tunes while driving like I do. It's a song about parts of speech which are very important and useful to learn for your course.
You know what they say: "Prioritise the fun, and the learning will come" ;)
"life starts all over again with it gets crisp in the fall"
Dear students, September is the month of new beginnings, and thus I would love to wish you all a happy and fruitful academic year. I was planning on travelling abroad to get my MA degree but (I don't want to say unfortunately) it got delayed. However, the good news is, I can be a teacher for one more semester which is worth being happy and excited for. I will of course continue blogging and sharing things that will help you through your journey. To the students that I taught in the past year, I want to say a huge THANK YOU. You were great students and I want you all to know that I love every single one of you and I deeply and sincerely care about you wherever you may be, and I will always be there to help you both academically and in real life. And to the students I will teach this year, I hope that we will have a great time together, and that I will be able to add to your knowledge, help you develop your skills and most importantly leave you with good memories and a hundred new things to think about ;) And remember: hard work always pays off. Feel free to follow this blog, share it, comment and contact me with your questions. Best of luck, Ms. Tasneem Solie
